Classrooms: The most vital learning centers

The school has spacious and natural-lit classrooms to provide an ideal environment for young learners to develop a love for learning at school. All classes are equipped with interactive audio- visual technology and boards to enhance learning and inquiry. A soft board is provided in every classroom which is used to display various important instructions and the notices.

The school has technology-enhanced learning classrooms that foster the way of teaching and learning digitally. It enhances the capability, interest and motivation of both the teachers and the students.

Smart learning along with traditional method of teaching helps the learners to perform better and the learners directly gain knowledge and understanding with fascinating visual modules. Information Communication Technology lab: A place for computer aided learning

ICT at Siddhantam is a valuable tool that supports learning, communication, thinking, planning and problem solving for all students across all curriculum areas and is integrated into everyday learning. Students are introduced to technology outside the classroom context in the computer labs specially designed for the students to get the access to the extensive world of information.

The school has a large well equipped computer Lab. The school provides computer Education from Class 1 onwards. The students of Classes I to V go to the Computer Lab where they learn and practice practically whatever has been taught in the class room. We focus on implementing ICT to truly benefit students’ learning to provide students with up-to-date information about technology so that they will be able to expand their resources for functioning in the global workplace.

Art & Craft (Visual Art): Time to be creative

Creative activities, of the kind that make up Arts and Crafts, are instrumental in helping children refine their cognitive, physical and social progress. Art teaches the children to deal the world around them. It is the oxygen that makes all the other subjects to breathe. This then cascades across overall learning outcomes in other subjects.

To develop a well-rounded personality of the children, the school provides a platform to its students to discover their inherent talent through Art & Craft. Students will learn the fundamentals of arts & craft working with a range of mediums and foster their creativity and self expression. 

Music & Dance (Performing Arts): The universal language of mankind

Physical fitness is one of the most important keys to a healthy body. It provides you the optimum physical health, general well being and mental stability. Sports are an important aspect of a student’s life and therefore play a huge role in the health and fitness of an individual. Sports have a positive influence on physical and mental health including body image which is parallel to improve self-esteem.

At Siddhantam, academic excellence is well balanced with the pursuit of sports like Taekwondo, Athletics, Yoga and specialized training in a number of games including Tennis, Football, Basketball, and Table Tennis. The school provides several sports opportunities for students to develop an all-round personality. Students learn a lesson for their life time that victory and defeat is an ongoing process and they must learn to keep going.

Library: A storehouse of knowledge

A library is a gateway to knowledge and culture. A library creates opportunities for learning, support literacy and education, and helps shape the new ideas and perspectives that are central to a creative and innovative society. Libraries provide another space for children to learn. They can help students navigate the internet, offer a quiet area for students to study, and encourage students to read. The staff, knowing what books a student enjoys, can help them choose books that are similar to their interests.

The School has a well equipped library which includes books, videos, DVDs, CDs, subscription to periodicals which will be added to continually. The library also provides encyclopedia, journals and newspapers to enrich the classroom activities and knowledge of the students. To encourage the reading habit among the students, a special Class Library is also formed in each class and books according to each standard are kept for quick access in the classroom and foster a loved for reading.

Playground: Outdoor learning spaces

The school playground provides a safe outdoor environment within the school that stimulates children to use their creative energy in healthy interactions with one another. The school playground memories beyond books and friends are the ones which are cherished forever by the students. Without playing and interacting with other children, a child’s development milestones will get stunted in some form or the other. It is as important as sleeping and eating for the children’s health.

The school has a playground for all types of sports activities and learning beyond their classrooms which, in turn, makes the educational experience more fun filled. 

Language Lab: A place for practicing soft skills

The school has an integrated Language Lab which is set up in the Computer Lab. The Language lab allows students to practice the language with a much wider variety of activities and exercises based on the computer. Learning occurs in a structured way, in a real context and visually attractive way that immerses the student in the language learning environment and promotes language use. Language lab is based on the methodology of LSRW skills that are listening, speaking, reading and writing which develops useful interpersonal communication skills of the children. Students have access to audiovisual materials and internet connectivity which allows them to learn and understand the nuances of the languages with adequate exposure and practice.

Math Lab: Learning mathematics through doing

The essence of mathematics lies in its freedom. Math lab provides an opportunity for the students to discover mathematics through informal exploration. The children develop meta-cognitive abilities to rethink and rework the problem and solution several times by developing an attitude of enquiry. The school math lab creates interest among students to explore the world of mathematics, to discover, to learn and to develop a mathematical mind through solving practical problems. Here the children develop interest and confidence towards learning by doing mathematics.
