Our Pedagogy

The learning in the Preparatory Class shall be based primarily on play-based learning with a focus on developing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor abilities and early literacy and numeracy. In Primary schooling, the curriculum content will emphasis in each subject to its core essentials, to make space for critical thinking and more holistic, inquiry-based, discovery-based, discussion-based, and analysis-based learning. The mandated content will focus on key concepts, ideas, applications, and problem-solving. Rote learning is discouraged

The aim of the school is to encourage deep interest in learning. Teaching and learning will be conducted in a more interactive manner making learning lively and individually meaningful; questions will be encouraged, and classroom sessions will regularly contain more fun, creative, collaborative, and exploratory activities for students for deeper and more experiential learning.

The school follows a cross-curricular pedagogical approach which includes hands-on learning, arts-integrated and sports-integrated education, story-telling-based pedagogy within each subject, and with explorations of relations among different subjects. To close the gap in achievement of learning outcomes, classroom transactions will shift, towards competency-based learning and education. We believe that this stands our students in good stead when they are preparing for examinations – in school and after.
